I Think I Want to move to Australia...

Now this is a great idea! I think they should do this here in the US, I know a lot of people would quit bitching about high gas prices!!!

Brothels take the sting out of pump prices - Yahoo!News
Wed Aug 30, 7:51 AM ET

SYDNEY (Reuters) - Hot and bothered by rising pump prices? Australian brothels are offering clients discounts based on their gas bills.

Brothel owners claim the system works much the same way as supermarkets which offer shoppers discounted gas prices by presenting their grocery bills when they fill up their tanks.

"If you come in and spend time with one of our lovely ladies, we'll give you a discount of 20 cents a liter," Kerry, manager of Sydney brothel The Site, told Reuters Wednesday.

There is no link between brothels, petrol providers or supermarkets but brothels like The Site and Madame Kerry's say the system is simple.

Once you've filled up your car, bring your receipt to the brothel and they'll discount the price of your visit.

The bill for a full 50-liter tank at 126.9 cents per liter comes to A$63.45 ($48.22). With the offered 20c a liter discount, the petrol bill would have instead come to A$53.45.

That A$10 difference is taken off the A$150 cost of a 30-minute session with one of the brothel's "service providers."

Open Mike Nite here at FreekBoi's

Ok, I tried this back in Oct, but nobody commented, so I thought I'd try it again. Come on people, leave some feedback here.

All comments are welcome! Today it's open mike night at FreekBoi's Random Thoughts.

I want to know what my readers think of the blog, any changes they would like to see, any suggestions you have, any criticisms, anything. It doesn't matter if you read the updates regularly or are just passing through, I want your opinion on everything and anything from the layout to post topics to my avatar. If you have anything to say, now's the chance, even if it's to say you hate it. So give me some ideas to make my blog better. I appreciate everyone who reads the blog, and hope to have at least a few comments on people's opinions. Thanks.

David Copperfield discovers Fountain of Youth!?!?

Master illusionist David Copperfield, who in my opinion is one of the best magicians in the world (along with David Blaine & Chris Angel), has claimed to have found the fountain of youth on a group of islands he has purchased. First of all, I'm insanely jealous that he has his own private island and I don't. Next, if this does turn out to be true and not some publicity stunt or a set up for an upcoming show he's doing, it will astound and amaze the world (although from the pic, he may be a little late). Just think of the possibilities! Anyway, here's what Yahoo!News had to say:

David Copperfield says he's found Fountain of Youth

MIAMI (Reuters) - The man who made the Statue of Liberty appear to vanish may soon claim to do the same for unsightly bags and wrinkles.

Master illusionist David Copperfield says he has found the "Fountain of Youth" in the southern Bahamas, amid a cluster of four tiny islands he recently bought for $50 million (26.4 million pounds).

...

Copperfield is coy about his reasons for the Fountain of Youth claim, but the man best known for entertaining with grand deception insists his archipelago also contains the legendary waters that bestow perpetual youth. Seriously.

"I've discovered a true phenomenon," he told Reuters in a telephone interview. "You can take dead leaves, they come in contact with the water, they become full of life again. ... Bugs or insects that are near death, come in contact with the water, they'll fly away. It's an amazing thing, very, very exciting."

Copperfield, who turns 50 next month, said he had hired biologists and geologists to examine its potential effect on humans but he's not inviting visitors to swim in or drink from it just yet.

In Loving Memory...

It's been a rough couple of weeks here. My grandfather had been battling cancer for quite a while, and Friday night he finally passed on. The past week especially had been hard on him, and he had been in tremendous pain. Finally Friday he called everyone in and talked to them and said all his goodbyes. He then passed on about 11 PM that night.

My grandpa was very special to me. I was the only boy on that side of the family, so he spoiled me like you wouldn't believe. When I was little I used to throw a fit if my mom wouldn't let me stay up until pap got off work and came home, then once I saw him I would go to bed. As I got a little older, he used to bring me home a bag of Skittles everyday from work. To this day I can't eat a Skittle without thinking of him. He loved the outdoors, be it fishing, hunting or gardening. I remember as a youngster helping him putter around in his garden, carrying coffee cans of water to help water potatoes. He used to have a old CB radio in his van he would sometimes let me talk on when we would go places together. But the best things were his stories. Pap was a retired Air Force veteran with over 26 years in the service. He had been all over this world: Kansas, Louisiana, Japan, Vietnam, Korea, Tripoli, Casablanca, Germany and many other places. I could sit for hours and listen to him tell stories about the places he'd seen and the things he'd done in his many years in the service. He had a knack for storytelling that made you thing you were there, and the ability to insert jokes into his stories that would have you holding your sides in laughter. I think that's what I'll miss the most, just listening to him tell stories or tell jokes or just sitting and watching tv with him and just talking about nothing in particular.

I love you pap. You will be missed.
